HTML Editor - Word Wrap

There have been a number of students asking how to control the presentation of the text in the HTML editing programs.

The most popular query was; "How do I stop the text I am typing continuing from left to right in the editing window?"

The simple answer is switch on Word Wrapping.

This can be done in both Windows Notepad & HTML-Kit

In Windows Notepad the setting is accessed from:

The Edit menu item Word Wrap

Word_Wrap

In HTML-Kit the setting is accessed from:

The View menu item Editor, Word Wrap

Word_Wrap

In Macromedia DreamWeaver 3 make sure you have checked the Wrap in the Source Editor.
